NEW LEGAL ORDER WITH CMPD & CITY OF CHARLOTTE, FORMER RAC SERGEANT TAMMY HATLEY

There’s another legal victory for former CMPD Response Area Command Sergeant Tammy Hatley in her suit against the City of Charlotte which found Police Chief Rodney Monroe had used unfair practices (lack of due process) within the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department.

On July 30th, Plaintiff Tammy Hatley has been awarded $109,635 in attorney’s fees plus $1,581 in taxable costs awarded by consent of Defendant’s attorney.  Here is the new court order.

Find details of the lawsuit, Judge Max Coburn’s previous order finding a lack of due process against the Defendant City of Charlotte, and other information about City Manager Curt Walton and HR involvement with Rodney Monroe’s decisions, read this previous post.

  1. Tammy has been singled out. On top of that it cost a fortune for Monroe to be proven wrong. At least they could start acting right now but he won't. And council won't pull their heads out long enough to notice. Good job, Tammy.

  2. She must of had a really bad attorney.

She deserves that much herself. She got screwed.

And no, no one seems to care.

Seems there are endless slush funds for all of rodney's mistakes. How much has cmpd and the city paid in litigation for all of rodney and harold's screwups?
I want to see them go up against a really qualified attorney!

  3. this doesn't count her award or other issues to be dealt with. and I would like to see "them" go up against an attorney AND all the officers that know better and would open their mouths, stand up with her to put an end to this crap. Where is the loyalty and all the thin blue line junk when it comes to protecting against the chief violating due process? everyone knows what's happening. yes, Walton is has authority but each person that has knowledge is responsible. who will you look for when it happens to you?
